Das Lokal im Hof is located in the former milk factory „Alpenmilchzentrale“ in the fourth district of Vienna, near the Main Railway Station.
In the center of the ground floor of the two-storey former workshop a freestanding concrete-bar was installed so that both the employees – the bar is used as the cooking area as well – and guests can look through the generous glazing towards the yard or entrance. On one side of the room a wooden bench completed by movable tables was installed over the entire length.
Together with the free-standing tables and the seats at the bar the Café has a seating capacity for about 30 people on the ground floor.
On the gallery – the „safe haven“ of the Café- the guests can enjoy the overview over the courtyard and the ground floor bar area, either while sitting at the dining table for 9 people or on one of the mustard-colored sofas.
The courtyard of the „Alpenmilchzentrale“ is a busy courtyard with workshops, offices and rehearsal rooms and is also popular with pedestrians who abbreviate their way by passing through the courtyard.
The outdoor space of the café is used as a lovely, quiet garden for relaxing all year round.
